Indications/Uses
OA, RA, juvenile RA, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, tendinitis, bursitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Sonap OA, RA 1-2 tab bid. Acute gouty arthritis Initially 3 tab then 1 tab 8 hrly. Tendinitis Initially 2 tab bid then 2 tab 12 hrly or 1 tab 6-8 hrly. Max: 5 tab daily. Sonap Forte OA, RA 1 tab bid. Acute gouty arthritis Initially 1½ tab then ½ tab 8 hrly. Tendinitis Initially 1 tab bid then 1 tab 12 hrly or ½ tab 6-8 hrly. Max: 2½ tab daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aspirin, naproxen or other NSAIDs.
Special Precautions
CV disease, asthma, GI bleeding, haemorrhagic fever. Renal & hepatic failure. Pregnancy (3rd trimester).
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, ulceration & bleeding, skin rash.
Drug Interactions
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), diuretics, NSAIDs (eg, aspirin), probenecid, MTX, lithium.
